HTML formatting in text widget

  • Hi all,

First, my understanding of html coding is only basic, so I apologize in advance if this is a novice question.

After two days of trial and error and pulling out my hair, I finally have the basic structure of my website down (http://www.sugarlaws.com).

Now, I’m trying to add some code into one of my text widgets in the left sidebar, and it’s just not working. I hit “configure” in the text widget, make my changes, and then close the box. Immediately, all my formatting disappears. It doesn’t show up on my webpage, and it doesn’t even show up the next time I open the text widget. What gives?

Also, I’m trying to add a picture into the same text widget, and that’s not working either. Please help!

Need more details please. What browser are you using and what code are you trying to add into the widget? Please copy the code here within backticks. That’s the key about the tab key and to the left of the ‘1’ key on a typical pc keyboard.

After you close the box, you need to “save changes”.
