* Does it do the job?
* Can I create a custom HTML template and drop in some shortcode to include x number
of posts, with title, excerpt & links?
* And is there a way to just buy it without the support & updates?

* Subscribe2 HTML is a fork of the free plugin code that send HTML emails to Public
Subscribers and allows HTML in the digest emails. You can create a custom template
by adding HTML tags to the existing template in the admin area of WordPress.
The supported keyowrds are similar to the free version with a few extras. You
cannot define the number of posts included via a keyword though.
* You can buy it and cancel support and updates if you wish but you then have to
pay the full purchase price again for updates, bug fixes etc and if you get any
problems you won’t get any dedicated support.
