# HTML Editor is missing

 * I have looked this up but am not able to see a solution. Or at east able to find
   one. I am using WP 3.3.1 and when I go to edit a post, there is no way for me
   to view the HTML. I have a module in Joomla that I am using to post a WP post
   on the on the home page that is giving me some trouble and I need the HTML editor
   in WP to troubleshoot. Why would this be missing? Frustrated. :#

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a **fresh** download
   of WordPress.

 * I go it to appear again by going into my profile and unchecking “Disable the 
   visual editor when writing”
