• I guess this is my problem in one sentence:
I can’t find anything that responds like an html editor. When you attempt to place content in the area desired it tells you to use a “widget.”
I have been searching for hours…(days?) What I would like to see is the html markup in the editor and be able to add the image/link. WordPress makes things easier for people that are complete techophobes…and that describes my client. His computer skills do not extend beyond email. However, if you want to customize stuff, it seems an order of magnitude harder.

I am sure that what I want can be accomplished in seconds…it’s totally trivial…but I can’t get a handle on it. Very frustrating. In my travels around the interwebs looking for an answer, it seems others have had similar problems.
I made my first website in 1994…but I have not kept up. I am working in the Zerif Pro theme on a self hosted WordPress site. This is totally frustrating:
I simply want to put a html image/link on the site which would call the Paypal checkout. The PayPal checkout is done; no problem there. I just want to put an image on the screen.
    This is the site: http://www.tiltingplanertable.com/
I want to put the image/link in what the theme designer calls the “our focus” area. On this site it is the second major element down…it says something like “About the TPT” I want the image to go under the area which begins “machining options.” I have spent hours (days?) trying to figure out this trivial question.
