# HTML code is altered by wordpress

 * Hi there,
 * I’m trying to some HTML code into a blog post. I enter it into the html editor
   but once the site is displayed, and I select “view code” it comes up quite differently.
   Is there any way to force wordpress to stop changing it?

 * Sorry, I accidentally copied the same code twice. What it get’s changed to is:
 *     ```
