 * Since upgrading to 3.4 I’ve noticed I can’t access my site. I’ve tried the usual
manual upgrade, but all to no avail. However, I’ve also noticed in file manager
that my .htaccess permissions are set to 444. Directly underneath it is another
file, .htaccess.ss with permissions set to 644. I have no idea where this file
has appeared from. I assume this is what is causing the problem. Can anyone help?

 * I’ve never heard of a file extension with .ss
 * Can you post it’s contents? If larger than ten lines, please use pastebin and
   paste the link here.
 * Also, when you say you can’t access your site, are you getting any error messages?
Does it function, but you can’t log in? Maybe a little bit more information on
what you mean by you can’t access your site.
