.htaccess/.htpasswd and WordPress (3 posts)

I'm using a separate installation of WordPress on a subdomain of my website for a personal blog. Since I don't want it all over the Internet through Google (it's mainly a place to upload news and photos), I'm using an .htpasswd set-up to protect it. Uploading files through the WordPress software is not happening because of the .htaccess deal. What I need is a way to keep my blog private and upload files now and then. Ideas? Thank you all in advance.

Use ftp to upload the files - it's the price you pay for privacy.
