.htaccess redirect dynamic URLs

I need to use .htaccess to 301 redirect dynamic URLs from:
    http://www.domain.com/viewJob.php?jobid=####
    and
    http://domain.com/viewJob.php?jobid=####
    to
    http://domain.com/job-openings/current-openings/?jobid=####

    #### is the unique job ID number.

I’m at a loss as to how to do this. Any help? Thanks!

    I tried:
    RewriteRule ^viewJob.php?jobid=([0-9]*)$ /job-openings/current-openings/?jobid=$1 [R=301,L]

but it doesn’t seem to work, I get the 404 page.
