htaccess problems (1 post)

    I have my webhosting setup so I have multiple domains on the same account. When using these domains I get a 500 error where there should be a 404.

    Here's the contents of my .htaccess

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /wp/
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /wp/index.php [L]
    # END WordPress

    I would like this .htaccess stored in my root folder to not effect other folders. (if I have to put .htaccess in them all that's fine)
