This is a brand new blog. I am using Atahualpa 3.4.5 as a template. It is a wonderful template in that you have control over so many options. However, I’m getting this error message:

Your backup folder MIGHT be visible to the public

To correct this issue, move the .htaccess file from wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager to ……/public_html/countrygarden/wp-content/backup-db

Trouble is, there is no .htaccess file there at all. The only thing I can find is htaccess.txt but I’m guessing that’s something else. In any case I moved it but the error message is still there.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi Erika,
.htaccess is hidden and if your FTP software allows choose to view hidden files. Then you will find it quite easily and move as you require.
    Hope this helps,
    Peter

PS I am using atahualpa too and am equally impressed. Currently trying to get my page links to work:)

The only thing I can find is htaccess.txt

with your ftp client or host’s file manager you need to rename this to just
    .htaccess
