• Browsing in my WordPress Dashboard under Manage => Files I clicked on the link “.htaccess (for rewrite rules )” and got the following error message:
    Oops, no such file exists! Double check the name and try again, merci.
    Clearly this isn’t so, since my WordPress blog works and since I can see my .htaccess file using my FTP software (isn’t it the .htaccess file that tells site visitors where to look for the website?). I am guessing WordPress or MySQL are just pointing to the wrong place when looking for the .htaccess file. How can I tell them the right place to look?
