# .htaccess issue

 * I’m having yet another issue migrating to mediatemple’s dv service.
 * Now, it seems like the .htaccess file works, in that it supports pretty URLs,
   but when it comes to other .htaccess functions like 403 message, and hotlink 
   protection, it kicks to the Apache 2 error screen.
 * I’ve set permissions properly….what did I do wrong?

 * Oh…and when it should be kicking out 404.php, it kicks a white screen.
