.htaccess is currently not writable?

    I keep getting this message: .htaccess is currently not writable.

    but in file manager, I have file set to 644 permissions.

    any suggestions on what might be causing this, and what I can do to fix this?

    Hi @andrew55,

    could you check if the ‘stop editing the .htaccess file’ has been unchecked? That option can prevent the plugin from writing to your .htaccess file. If you use AWS/Bitnami, there can also be a htaccess.conf file in the /conf/ directory. Could you also check if that file exists and if so, make it writable?

    A recent site migration has actually deleted the file! All is good now. Thank you.
