 * do we need htaccess file for extra security? If so what needs to be in there?

One of my sites which has only 1 post in it and runs only on 2020 I noticed that
it doesnt have htaccess file. I want it to be secure.

 * If it works as you wish then fine!
 * Not all servers can even use htaccess files.
 * If you ever setup or change to permalinks then you might want to dig into this
a bit deeper as you’ll want htaccess or it’s equivalent for your server type
   then. Else, it’s mostly a non-issue.
 * If you install a cache, SEO, or security plugin that plugin will probably ask
about your htaccess (or equivalent) then…
 * If it ain’t broke then don’t fix it!
