htaccess for multiple sites in subdirectories

    I’m looking to have multiple sites setup on one hosting package. The sites are all unrelated so need to remain separate. Basically i’m looking to put each site in a subdirectory but have the url not show the subdirectory, i.e site1.com not site1.domain.com.

    Is there any way to do this with an .htaccess file, if show how would this look?
