    Hi,

when I attempt to login to a wordpress subdomain I get this notice.

ERROR Access from your IP address has been blocked for security reasons. Please contact the administrator.:

I spoke to hosting and internet service and not from there end.

I posted to my security plugin not long ago and no response yet but I now see
in my cpanel 16 files – htaccess 17100817213,org with different numbers but all created at the same time (today at 12pm) when The subdomain was created with a duplicator package. All 16 files have all the entries made by my securityy plugin but the htaccess file itself. only has the original wordpress entry.

    thank you for your time

  • Hey Jerry,

Duplicator only creates a copy of the .htaccess found in the archive.zip file on step 1 of the installer when the files are being extracted. The only way the file would show up multiple times is if you ran step 1 several times beyond that I’m not sure why so many instances would show up, I haven’t ever heard of that issue before…

    Hope that helps~

Hi, thank you for your response.

The problem just appeared out of nowhere on all subdomains and then over the weekend the problem just went away – everything in the cpanel file manager was cleaned up nicely. I must have a guardian angel or something.

Excellent! We all need one of those… Thanks for the update.
