Support » Plugin: W3 Total Cache » htaccess file name changes on CDN and Firefox fails to use web font

  • Hello, Frederick.

I am using W3TC with a self-hosted CDN and stumble upon what i think it’s a strange issue: whenever w3TC uploads new files to CDN, it get rid of . (period) in the htaccess file.

    Hencer, .htaccess file becomes htaccess

Because of this, Firefox doesn’t read the Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*" directive fails to read the webfont, which throws a 404 for the webfont file.

1 – Is this an intended behavior or is it a bug?
    2 – is there a workaround?
    3- Thanks in advance
