    I had some custom rules on my .htaccess file, but after installing the free version of Buletproof Security Plugin, it has overwritten all my rules… Now I am stuck with some pages redirecting to 404 page.

    BPS makes a backup of your original htaccess file when you run the BPS Setup Wizard. You will find your original htaccess code/rules/file backed up here > /wp-content/bps-backup/master-backups/root.htaccess-{date-timestamp}

    1. Use FTP or your web host control panel file manager and download your original backed up htaccess file to your computer.
    2. Open it and add (copy and paste) any custom code that you want to save permanently and combine into the BPS htaccess file by using the BPS Custom Code feature.

    If you are not sure how to use the BPS Custom Code feature see this video tutorial > https://forum.ait-pro.com/video-tutorials/#custom-code

    If you are not sure where to add (copy and paste) your custom htaccess code in the BPS Custom Code text boxes then you can send a copy of your original root htaccess to the email address on our Contact Form page here > https://www.ait-pro.com/contact/. We will then post back here and let you know where your custom htaccess code should go in the BPS Custom Code text boxes.
