# htaccess file in subfolder

 * I’m having a challenge with a particular plugin (ContactForm7) and in trying 
   to diagnose the problem, I’ve noticed that there is an htaccess file in the subfolder
   that ContactForm7 creates to store uploads.
 * I noticed I have a htaccess file in the root also.
 * Could the htaccess file in the subfolder be causing problems with the plugin 
   and can it safely be removed?

 * Highly unlikely if the plugin installed it.
 * > can it safely be removed
 * I’d imagine that this might compromise the security of your forum uploads.
