Support » Plugin: All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall » htaccess file changes affect the operations of Addon domains

  • I had tried a different “Security” plugin and when it started giving me so much heartburn in a new release, I switched to AIOWPS’s plugin. It really works well and I like the interface, but it’s creating havoc on my 6 other addon doamins (hosting service puts them as subdirs on the primary domains account).

The first issue was with turning on Hotlink protection, it took out access to all the other sites images – not good, so I turned it off.

Now it appears that it’s disallowing access to some scripts in the addon domains. Major problem as it breaks too many things. What can I do to remedy this latest issue? Is there a special incantation that needs to be put into the primary’s .htaccess file to ignore the subdirs of addons? If so, please give me some example as I’m not a htaccess guru.
