 * Hi,
 * I’ve encountered a Server System error, contacted my host who modified the .htaccess
   file and provided the following information:
 * “The htaccess code for filter_module tag isn’t compatible with current version
   of apache in the server.
 * Basically whatever you are using to build your WordPress site is inserting code
   in your .htaccess file that isn’t compatible with Apache 2.4. It’s nothing to
   do with WP but with the plugin (duplicator).”
 * They then referred to this thread:
    [https://github.com/h5bp/html5-boilerplate/issues/1012](https://github.com/h5bp/html5-boilerplate/issues/1012)
 * All this is a bit beyond me. As I have not had any problems with duplicator in
   the past, I wonder if you could shed light on this.
 * I’m on WP 4.0 and Duplicator 0.5.8.
 * Many thanks
 * Max

 * Hi MacS09,
 * So when are you encountering the “Server System Error”? Doesn’t seem like your
   host is really helping out much (is this a free host?).
 * Duplicator doesn’t insert any data into your .htaccess file, however there are
   some plugins that do you may need to validate that they aren’t updating the file
   behind the scenes…
 * Cheers~

 * Thanks, Cory.
    No, it’s not a free host, in fact, it came recommended. The only
   recommendation I can give is: avoid. Not putting too fine a point on it, it’s
   D9Hosting in the UK. I’ll tell them the good news. Because it happened again
   with another site yesterday. Thanks for your help. Cheers Max
