.htacces.old?
-
Hi everyone.
My site has been infected with malware.
I got that confirmed by sucuri.
I spoke with the support from my server (bluehost), and they said they could find some unusual codings in one of my files (i think it was the .htaccess file) wich they did some changes on, but I should get rid of the code completely.
After that, I didn’t get redirected like i used to, but sucuri still confirmed I was infected with malware. I downloaded the BulletProof Security plugin wich I come to the understanding was going to overwrite my .htaccess files, both in my root and wp-admin folder. I can see there is a file on my root folder called .htaccess.old. On that file there are a lot of keywords from a-z at the beginning. could this be the problem?

I am somewhat new to this, so I am probpably asking a stupid question.
