could you tell me which version you use so I can at least check if its a version problem?
I DID every step you described, though one more question: did you check the link I gave above? do you have any clue where that strange position of posts comes from? is it from a template (I use your version still) or is it from photopress? Or might it be a setup option of wordpress? I can’t seem to find anything to change that…
#edit: I tracked down this problem by deaktivating all plugins not listed in your howto and it was fixed. Now I have to reactivate one by oine and see which one was causing the problem. I’ll report back with that info.
though I might verify, maybe I had an upload problem with your theme, maybe with the css file godknowswhere, I’ll double check everything tonight.

Just to confirm this HOWTO also works on version 2 (according to some other people who did the conversion). Make sure you use the latest version of wp-contactform
does anyone know where to find this in wp 2.0 or 2.01 ?

The advanced controls option doesn’t exist in 2.0. Thanks to the dynamic menus in the edit window theres no need for seperate editing modes. I ignored that option in the tutorial and it worked fine for me in 2.0.

two things though… wonder if you could help out.
1) how do i go about changing the header portion? i’m a real newbie and don’t know much about wordpress, and now i must name the photoblog site, but any pointer on where to change the code to header.php?
2) the random pics are not showing… (this is a small problem…

the other thing that would be helful to know is:
how can i connect the ‘articles’ icon to link to ‘pages’ that i write? what do i write to if i want the articles to correspond to the pieces i write.
(this is because if possible, this photoblog would have stories as well as the pictures that tell them… but these stories are more like reports on gatherings, events, and less like a journalistic post.)
any idea?

(1) I can only tell you how to change header in 1.5 –> in the WordPress Admin click ‘Presentation’ tab –> ‘Theme Editor’ tab –> Header Template and do your modifs
(2) For the random pics – I don’t know – they work just fine here
(3) For the articles – click on Articles on the same page as (1) and then change the line for wp_list_pages
