Howe to get the category lists in my custom page

    i’m creating a custom page where i can upload file, but i need to upload with the category name also instead of going and select the category in media library. So that i need the list of categories inside select tag of form. please help me with it i’m confused

    In the backend of WordPress you can choose the default category new uploaded files get assigned to. You can change this under Settings -> Writing -> Default Post Category.
