Support » Plugin: WP Jump Menu » How would I implement "Chosen (v1.4.2)"?

  • Resolved burnbaby

great time-saver out of the box, thx a bunch!

My ‘issue’ is in the ‘Topic title’ already – I’m actually surprised, I’m the 1st to ask this question.
As a non-coder, I don’t know how to get WP Jump Menu to work together with Chosen (v1.4.2) to change colours and such.

Whereto would I need to copy the additional files, and where would I put the code piece found at Github: $(".chosen-select").chosen()?

Thank you for your support in advance – and once again for WPJM!

    Hi burnbaby,

Chosen is built into the plugin. Goto the settings page to turn it on (if it’s not on by default when you install the plugin).

I just updated the plugin and updated Chosen to 1.4.2.

FYI – it uses a custom version of the script because I had to extend it a little. So in the plugin folder you’ll find chosen.jquery.js – AND custom.chosen.jquery.js. This custom one is the one that gets loaded, and uses the prototype “customChosen” instead of the default “chosen”.

I was running into issues where I was installing chosen on the front-end of some sites and it was conflicting with my custom version I am using for the plugin (since the plugin can appear on the front-end when logged in and set to appear on the front-end in the wp-admin bar). Hopefully, this fixes that problem.

Let me know if you still have questions or issues.
