How upload iframe work with JS

    Hello
    I would like to do do something like the upload system you can find in WordPress, but I don’t understand how the upload iframe work to send to the editor the photo and its attributes with Prototype Javascript library. I’ve tried to do a Insertion.bottom, but it doesn’t work, “this” is not defined.

    Can you explain that feature.
