how to work with multiple server

    I install wordpress site on a server and it’s working file.Now I buy another server to use as secondary server if the primary server are down.I add the nameservers and install wordpress on the second server.Not the problem is that i cannot access the second server if i wish. I mean when i click my site,it goes to the first server.I want to go second server for some time to customize the installation.I want to run the site on the 1st server and if it is down,then to use the 2nd server.

    Please tell me how to do it?
