Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » How to: Woocommerce Shipping based on Gravity Form Product Attributes

  • I’m using the latest woocommerce and gravity forms product add-ons module but can’t figure a way to tie the shipping in together between the two. On my site, I use gravity forms for various attributes that make a product heavier (or lighter) based on the customers needs. I don’t know how to make these attributes impact the shipping cost on the checkout page. Anyone?

  • were you able to get any solution to this? I am trying to figure out almost the same thing.

Neither Gravity Forms or WooCommerce (WooThemes) could give me a solution. Their answer basically was that this is not an existing function and went as far as saying it was a good “idea” which I wouldn’t hold my breath on becoming a reality.

You could try using Product Variables but that can open up it’s own can of worms.

yeah, variations is not an option because it would throw off inventory tracking.

Maybe you should check the extensions:
WooCommerce German Market (WCGM)” and “WooCommerce Role Based Prices (WCRBP)”.

WCGM started as an extension for WooCommerce shops, by adding sides for the special legal requirements in Germany. By now it grew up to a powerful woocommerce tool with editors for: delivery time, shippping, taxes and measurment units, and many more.

WCRBP: New roles for customers can be set up, and to each role, a specific price can be assigned. This offers great opportunities for shop owners who wants to sell to retailer, end consumer, regular customers, association members, students or other special roles.

Maybe this will help you? Both extensions are available in english and german.
