Support » Fixing WordPress » How to widen a class width after the page’s sidebar is taken off??

  • Hello all,

    I am using a 3 columns theme.

    On one page I took away the sidebars and just have the center content class, but that center part’s width remain the same, how can I set the width of it the same length as (it and the 2 sidebars I get rid of) before?? I mean I just set “that page” not in css file to set all the pages.

    Many Thanks

  • you need to create a new page template

    copy over your page code into notepad and put this at the top

    <?php
    /*
    Template Name: no sidebar
    */
    ?>

    and change the div id to nosidebar for instance on the page I did I change div id=content to div id=nosidebar

    then save it as nosidebar.php (or whatever you want to call it)

    now go to your style sheet and copy the css for “content” or whatever value you changed and change the width so the the page takes up the full space.

    Now when you write a page you will choose nosidebar as your page template.
