How to whitelist variables in SEOEgghead Firewall plugin? (3 posts)

I'm trying to run the WP-DB-Backup plugin but it conflicts with the SEOEgghead Firewall plugin.

It sends me an email each time the Firewall blocks the backup. When I click the link in the email to "whitelist this variable" I get this message: "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page."

I've also tried the solution outlined here (adding *wp-admin/tools.php* and *wp-admin/edit.php* to the whitelist pages): http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-whitelist-wp-db-backup-in-wp-firewall-plugin?replies=3

Can anyone offer me their wisdom here?

Oh and I've tried emailing the author of the plugin (SEOEgghead) and their customer service sucks. No reply in a week.

So I'm still looking for a solution to this....anyone?

I am having similar issues. I haven't tried whitelisting the ip address of my site but that would be an option.
