I’m having trouble understanding relative and absolute file names in WordPress.
I use Linux, so it’s not a problem with the concept.
However, it seems that in WP posts, I can identify an image using an absolute file name in HTML, or using relative filename that begins with “wp-content”. But I cannot seem to use relative filename that begins with the directory “image”.
I saw where the upload default directory can be changed. Okay, but I don’t like to use the WP uploader. I prefer to simple use FTP. So the upload directory is not really interesting, since is like to keep my images in subdirectories.
Why is the WP default directory “wp-content”. Where is that coded?
I also don’t understand how src= works. What are the rules?
