I have the plugin installed. The video tutorial is defunct. How do I use this thing?

I am not a web designer… I just need to know in simple terms how to access this plugin when I am editing a page or post and want to put the borders around the pictures that are in the page or post.

  • As far as I can tell, this plugin doesn’t work on a per-post/per-image basis. It works globally on every single image on your wordpress site.

You’ll need to pick out WP Image Borders Options from the settings menu, enable the features you want and it sets the CSS styling for universal use.

If you want an image manipulator on a per-post basis you’ll probably want to use a different plugin (e.g. Cloudinary).

You can apply the border style from the settings page under Settings > WP Image Borders. You can now choose either to target all images in your posts or target image containers by CSS class.

There is currently no functionality for selecting an image in the post editor screen. However, you could just add a CSS class like “my-image-border” to the element containing the image and then in the options menu add “.my-image-border” as one of the classes you want to add image borders to.
