Support » Plugin: WordPress 2-step verification » How to use with local copy?

  • Resolved WPfoot

I use WordPress Duplicator to create a local copy of my WordPress website. 2-Step-Verification is active. Locally I can’t logon after making the on-line copy available locally. The 6 digit codes are not accepted. Probably because the local copy has not the same URL. Is disabling 2-Step-Verification, create a copy with Duplicator, enable 2-Step-Verification, restore copy locally, logon locally without 2-Step-Verification the only way to get access to the local copy? Thanks for your help.

Hi, There is recovery method, you can download file and copy to wp directory, don’t need to disable.
    1. At Enter code screen click on “Try another way to sign in” at page bottom
    2. Choose last option “Manual recovery”
    3. Follow instruction.
