Support » Fixing WordPress » How to use two different headers on one site?

I was wondering if this is possible. I tried copying the header.php file and renamed it headerwide.php, but I’m not sure how to call it. I tried calling get_headerwide(); ?> but that doesn’t work and as a result the header breaks and the page doesn’t load. How can I call headerwider.php instead of header.php?

See if the Dynamic Headers plugin will do what you want.

Using get_header() will call the standard header.php template file; now, if you rename your headerwide.php file to header-wide.php (note the hyphen after ‘header’) you can call it with get_header( 'wide' )

See how that works out for you …
