Support » Plugins » How to use the wp-detective plugin?

  • Hello,

I managed to install the wp-detective plugin, but I don’t know how to use it. :$
I’m a dumbuser, when it comes to php & everything, so I’ll need a step-by-step guide there. Or something very easy to understand.. 😛

    Thanks.

  • Can you provide a link to the plugin so everyone else can see it? I’ve never heard of that plugin.

Scratch that, I found it for ya’ll: http://weblogtoolscollection.com/archives/2004/12/13/wp-detective-plugin/

No two cents from me, sorry.

    Anyone?

Or can someone refer a similar plugin, for that matter?

Since I’m not sure exactly what wp-detective does and couldn’t get anything from the site, I did see reference to another plugin called Stattraq.

What exactly are you trying to do? There are many statistics plugins.

Well, I’d like to have an overview of people who visit my site.. IP’s, referers, stuff like that. Statistics, yes, in one word.

I don’t seriously need to use that specific plug-in.

I would go to the plugins page here and see what is available. Each one provides something different. I use wp-stats, but there are others.

I like WP-ShortStat, myself, in conjunction with Google Analytics (using boakes’ plugin) and good old Webalizer. None quite do the path analysis that it sounds like wp-detective purports to offer, but then again, it sounds like you’re not particularly interested in that.
