How to use the builtin widget calendar without using the sidebar widget

    I would like to use my own customized sidebar without widgets, but I would also like to use the standaard widget Calendar.

    Is this possible? I know the code for calendar is in widgets.php, but I don’t know what to do with it. Should I copy it to my sidebar or is there a plugin to do this?
