Support » Plugin: Git it Write - Write posts from Github » How to use resuable block?

  • I couldn’t find any documentation on how to use “Resuable blocks” option for “Post type to publish to”. My idea is to embed the GitHub content within any WP post/page and it will have many other blocks.

    Hi Dinesh,

The option “Post type to publish to” indicates the post type of the posts published.

It can be post or page or any other custom post type configured on your site.

So if you want to the mypost.md file to be published to “reusable blocks” then you can select that post type. The .md files in your repository will be published as that post type.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Aakash,

Thanks for your reply. Can I have wp post with own static content + reusable blocks(from github md file). I want to auto update from github content and keep the remaining parts of the post/page as is.

    Regards,
    Dinesh

    Hi,

The .md file can have HTML. The HTML will be set as post content as is.

Regarding reusable blocks, please switch to the code editor and observe how reusable blocks are present. You can follow the same pattern in your md file.

    Thanks,
    Aakash
