How to use quicktags inside shortcode

  • I created a shortcode that lists all the subpages of the page it is posted. It is working very well, no problem.

But now I need to paginate the page after a certain number of subpages listed. The problem I´m facing is that the only way I know to force a pagination on a page is adding the <!–nextpage–> quicktag. But inside a shortcode the quicktag does not work. The only thing I get is the text of the quicktag in my html source. Seems that the code that parses shortcodes does not parse quicktags.

Is there any way for use this quicktag inside a shortcode? Or is there any other thing I can do force page pagination?
