How to use more than only one menue?

  • Hi everyboda,

first of all thank you very much for this very good plugin and your work. How is it possible to use more than only one menue – not only one primary menue? Because a lot of themes and wordpress itself are able to handly different menues and for example chose them for sidebars a.s.o..

To be able to use more than only (one) a main menue would make this plugin excellent in any kind.

In settings->languages->menus, Polylang will detect every possible locations for menus in your theme. Here you can select for each location and each language, which menu you want to use.

    Hi Chouby,

thanks for your support. But i still did not find out how to select more than only the primary menu to handle. For example i have a layout with different menues made in the menue section of wordpress that uses

    menu01,
    page 01
    page 02

    menu02
    page03
    page04

    menu03
    page05
    page06
    page07

    a.s.o.

How can i use more than only one menue, the primary menu in polylang’s (settings)? In the polylang settings at the point menu i am only able to chose one primary menu. but i want to use as many menu i need at one time.

If you see only the primary menu in settings->languages->menus, then it means that your theme registered only this one. Polylang can’t change this.

You can add more than one menu with register_nav_menus in your functions.php file.
Then, go to the menu tab in polylang settings and select the menu you want in which language.
    Should works.
    Mad.
