    Hi Team,

    Topic – Variable Product

I want to allow to create run time attribute creation while user want to add product to cart and process with order

If you go to this URL – https://www.viprize.org/campaign/gewinne-ein-esports-erlebnis-mit-david-alaba

You will see “DONATE A CUSTOM AMOUNT” box and http://prntscr.com/quylot

Please check that box and choose custom prize you will see that the entries will getting updated based on multiply of 10 each of 1$/€ that thing I want to achieve it

And for custom price I am already using WooCommerce Name Your Price add-on but woocoomerce not allowing me to process order and giving me invalid attribute error

Attribute Created in backend called “Entries” options for that is 50,100,250,500,1000,2000,3000 and price of them are €5,10€,25€,50€,100€,200€,300€ (price will be 1€ = 10 entries) now when user want to use custom price i.e 7€ or any number of entries/price is not working, I want to give flexibility to choose custom price (which is feasible with Name Your Price add-on) but with that custom entries not getting proceed

Is something possible to do with Woocommerce?

    Regards,
    Krunal

    Hi @krunalprajapati41

Since the ability to add a custom price isn’t the default functionality of WooCommerce, you’ll want to contact the developers of that third-party plugin for support.

The Name Your Price plugin is supported at WooCommerce.com with an active license. Feel free to contact the developers of that plugin from the support tab there.

    Hi @krunalprajapati41

Rather than using attributes, another option would be to allow the customer to add the information as metadata using Product Add-Ons.

    Hi @johndcoy

Thank you for your suggestion that’s not the thing what we want

Actually the Entries to be as attribute as well as when user enter custom price that also be generate entries as be below Example

    i.e $1 = 10 Entries

Attributes we have created is 10, 50, 100, 250, 500 etc entries predefined as attributes now what we want we need customer to allow enter X amount except predefined i.e customer enter $500 then he is allow to get 5000 entries but that values is not predefined in attribute so that should be create run time attribute just for that order only

If you check this URL – https://www.viprize.org/campaign/triff-roman-und-heiko-lochmann and check to bottom where variation is listed and you will see “DONATE A CUSTOM AMOUNT” when you enter X amount you will see X entries to be updated

Let me know if this help you to understand

    Hi @krunalprajapati41

I am just not sure why attributes would be used for customer-defined information. The example from the website above use a basic form field and multiplier to show the number of entries. This can be achieved using the quantity field when choosing a number of products (a dollar amount ) to add to the cart.

You can then use a snippet on that product page to multiple the quantity to show the number of entries it will get that. This would require another plugin or customizations either way.

We recommend one of the services listed on this page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

We’ll mark this as resolved as there isn’t a method built into core to do a quantity calculation that doesn’t adjust the price to that same amount.

    Hi @johndcoy

Thank you so much for your suggestions!

Anyways we will figure it out at our end because on existing development we are allowing only 1 qty of product to be purchased, this is on for typical eCommerce site it’s something different concept for site so

And we also need fixed defined bundle for people that’s why we are using attributes instead of simple product, but that’s also nice suggestions but we were trying for to add custom 2 options which is exist on the reference site which are “Custom Donate” & “Gift” that’s why I posted the question here

And there is another stuff is bind with specific predefined entries so simple product won’t be work for our case but anyways we will try to figure it out, as there is not feasible with default woocommerce stuff for those two option what we required.

Thank you so much for your help!

If any help required further will let you know

    Regards,
    Kru
