How to use comments

    I hope the community can help me. I installed WordPress 10 minutes ago and I was able to post my first blog. In the admin section I set-up the options in a way that anyone can post comments and comments are held for moderation and an administrator must approve comments. Nowhere in the blog appears a comment form. This is the link to my blog:

    Opening this page: http://bestinrome.com/blog/?p=1#comments I see that comments are closed.
    Please when you answer try not to use jeargon, because I am a novice with both this software and blogs.

    Go into “Options” then “Discussions.”

    The third line down reads: “Allow people to post comments on the article.” Check the box beside it.

    The question is, do you get “Comments Closed” on your next post? If you edited the first post instead of making a new one, you may have to edit it again and select the comment option for this particular post…

    Searching here and visiting http://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page will have answers to all of your basic questions and a lot of “advanced” ones, too.

    Thank you so much to both of you. The problem was solved by both. Probably I posted my first blog BEFORE setting comments, so probably this post inherited something from the old settings. In fact editing the original post (allowing comments) everything worked as well the new test post (that I of course deleted immediately after). Thanks again. Angelo.
