• Hi,

I’m bloging at wordpress.com and assume that my wordpress is already obsolete. However, I don’t know the exact version because it’s not shown anywhere. The biggest reason why I think it’s old is because I can’t find the plugins menu anywhere. I wanna install some cool plugins but I can’t.
Can anyone help me to solve this problems?
    1. How to upgrade the wordpress.com hosted wordress blog.
    2. How to enable plugins menu.

    Thank you.

  • WordPress.COM is running the latest version of WordPress- MU (Multi-User). There is nothing to upgrade or that they will let you upgrade.

You can’t see the Plug-ins menu because they don’t let you have any Plug-ins or Themes that they have not signed off on as an official part of their site.

If you want to “install some cool plug-ins” you will need to get a domain name, find a host, install WordPress.ORG software and learn how to maintain the site (or hire it done as some of my friends do with their company site) –

First of all, thank you, Saildude!
Actually, I’m using both, wordpress.COM for my own purpose and wordpress.ORG for my organization. That’s why I thought they’re same but it turns out they’re not.
    Thanks a lot.
