How to Update to Carousel Slider Block Version 2

    Carousel Slider Block v2 now uses Swiper.js for improved performance and compatibility. Here’s how to upgrade from legacy (v1) sliders:

    Existing Legacy (v1) Blocks Still Work

    • Your existing legacy (v1) Carousel Sliders will continue working as usual.
    • If you prefer, you can disable legacy support by going to Admin Dashboard → Settings → Carousel Slider.

    How to Upgrade Legacy Sliders to v2

    1. Open the post or page with the old Carousel Slider block.
    2. Click on the legacy Carousel block.
    3. In the block toolbar (the floating bar above), click the block icon (first button on the left).
    4. Select “Transform to Carousel Slider v2” from the dropdown.
    5. Your carousel settings will be preserved — but the HTML markup and design will change with v2.
    6. Tip: After upgrading, double-check your layout and styles. You may need minor tweaks if you used custom CSS.

    Hiding Legacy Blocks (Optional)

    You can hide legacy blocks from the block inserter and turn off upgrade notices:

    • Go to Admin Dashboard → Settings → Carousel Slider and adjust the options

    ℹ️ Notes

    • Legacy blocks are no longer actively supported.
    • For best compatibility and future updates, it’s highly recommended to upgrade to v2.

    From version 2.0.1, legacy carousel blocks are now hidden from the inserter by default. To re-enable them, go to Settings → Carousel Slider and check “Show old carousel blocks.”

    Existing legacy blocks will still work as usual.
