    Hi,

I have been using this plugin and it’s working great. I am displaying mail chimp subscription form to logged in users on a dedicated page and all logged in users are able to subscribe to it successfully.

Now, is there a way to use the same MailChimp form to allow previously subscribed users to update their subscription preferences?
Every time when previously subscribed users make changes and hit submit button the form says “email already exists” or something.

Is there a way to work around it?

    Please help.

    Regards,
    Waqas

Ignore my support request please. Someone already has raised the same request and to my surprise you guys have implemented it as well. THANK YOU 🙂 going to update my plugin now….

    Hi Waqas,

We had implemented the feature into the 5.1 update but the method we chose for updating didn’t satisfy some users needs. We got a few complaints of a security concern where anyone could update another users information, so we pulled it and pushed out 5.1.0.1.

We’re working on some other workaround, ideally where a link would be generated that the user could click to generate an update email. I’ll be working on figuring something out this week, so keep an eye out for a 5.1.1 update.

    Thanks and sorry about that,
    Evan

    Hi Evan,

Thanks for a quick reply. In my case, only already registered users see this form and the required field e.g. (Email) is pre-populated with their email ID and stays hidden, so there is no way users will be able to change subscription for other users. I think, I’ll try version 5.1 and if it works for me then that’s all I need.

    Regards,
    Waqas
