How to update 2.0.5 to latest version

Hi, I’m currently using the 2.0.5 version from 05/01/2017 (the theme island version), but I would like to know how could I update this version to the latest one since the Wordpres.org version 1.8.5 received the last update on 9/11/2017 and even in the theme island website it appears a 2.0.0 version from 21/07/2017. I would like to clarify that I’m using my own child theme so it would be interesting to know if my website could keep working properly after the update or it could require some coding on my child theme because we could consider this a major update.
