This is a very attractive theme. It looks great and has been constructed very carefully. Great job, Olivier!

It does make a number of fashion-forward design choices, so to speak, such as the nice big thumbnails and images. One thing that I didn’t want was for the Featured Image on a page to be linked. After examining the code, I found a hook that can be used to unlink that for anyone interested who has some good geek skills and is willing to edit some code.

    Check it out here.

I did read a part of the manual that seems to indicate that if you use the food menu feature, the featured image link may actually be important, so keep that in mind. I am not using the food menu.

    Thanks,
    Dave

  • Hi Dave,

Thank you, I’m glad you like the theme! 🙂

And also a big thank you for sharing the solution. I’ve actually created a more precise solution for this “issue” in my support forums (though it is for my other theme, Modern, it works for Auberge too). Please check http://support.webmandesign.eu/forums/topic/display-after-2nd-click-in-portfolio-item/#post-10249

The solution I’ve linked to will remove the image link on the single post page, which is harmless.

The intended use of the featured image link on single post page was to show the bigger image to your visitors using a lightbox plugin such as great WP Featherlight plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-featherlight/ ).

    Regards,

    Oliver

    Oliver,
Very cool. What a team! 😉 Your code is more precise, of course. I’ll have to take a closer look at the forum.

Good point about the lightbox. I frequently do that, too, and am actually doing that with the thumbnails on another page.

I’m “pushing” both of those themes on my blog post about quality themes. I hope they’ll visit you from there, too. Keep up the good work!

    You rock!
    Dave

Thank you very much Dave! 🙂
