Support » Plugin: WordPress Media Library Folders » how to uninstall the plugin without picture loss?

  • Resolved Patric

Unfortunately I have a problem with your plugin – meanwhile I have over 9000 pictures online which I manage with the MLF plugin or categorized into folders.

    The problem is:

the more images in the database, the longer it takes to get to the MTF image directory. The loading time now takes more than 10 minutes until the directory is listed.

I have repeatedly, as described in the description, run the MTF Reset plugin and a database reset performed – unfortunately without change.

Therefore, I want to / must completely uninstall the plugin now
(if there is not a solution for the long load time?)

    My question is now :

what do I have to do to disable the plugin clean without losing my pictures?

The images are all distributed in self-created folders in the MTF directory.

Do I have to move all images to a default directory of WordPress before uninstalling?

I installed my WordPress in July 2018 and added the MTF plugin to all the pictures in it MTF directory are located – wordpress has created the directory “/ wp-content / uploads / 2018/07”.

Do I have to move all images into the folder 07?

Thank you for your help in advance

To uninstall the plugin completely, run the Media Library Folders database reset and then delete the Media Library Folders plugin. All folders and files you added were added to the standard media library (Media Library Folders only adds additional functionality to the WP media library and does not create a second media library).
