I installed woocommerce and said SKIP when it asked me to install Jetpack, but it still added the plugin!!!

I deleted the plugin but I still have a banner on my plugins page telling me to install it! I don’t want to!

How do I remove it completely from my database?

If Jetpack is not installed in the Plugins section of your Dashboard, then it is not installed.

The banner you see if coming from WooCommerce and typically means you’re using a WooCommerce feature or add-on which requires Jetpack.

The notice can be dismissed via a small ‘x’ at the top-right of the notice.

Thank you very much for your speedy reply.

I didn’t notice that Woocommerce had installed other add-ons!! Not happy as i did not request them nor want them. Will be contacting them

Unfortunately, there is no closing cross on the banner, no way to dismiss it at all

Would you please use https://snipboard.io/ to share a screenshot of the banner you’re referring to?

Ok, then it sounds like you may have been trying to use something in WooCommerce that required the Jetpack plugin, hence the persistent banner.

    Hi James

I had the same problem and read the above comments, which made me find the cause of the of the persistent banner.

It comes with the Woocommerce services, where it is a part of the service – hence the missing cross top right.

Deactivate and delete Woocommerce services – move on.

Ah yes, that’s because the plugin named “WooCommerce Services” requires Jetpack: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-services/

So, the alert is there and cannot be dismissed because WooCommerce Services cannot be used without Jetpack.

To dismiss the alert, either install Jetpack so you can use WooCommerce Services, or delete WooCommerce Services.

You do not need to delete the WooCommerce plugin, only the WooCommerce Services plugin. The WooCommerce plugin does not require Jetpack.
