 * Is there a tutorial for this? So far I can’t do anything that even resembles
   the functions of a website. I mostly get “Ooops Chrome cannot find wp”. Thanks!

 * Do you have WP installed? What’s your site URL?
 * Have you seen –

 * Hi, my site url is: [http://www.jeffs60s.com/wp/wordpress/](http://www.jeffs60s.com/wp/wordpress/)
 * I use core ftp, running windows 7 64-bit.
 * I’m hoping I have wp installed. It’s been a real monster to get done. I really
   know nothing about this, but I’m going to have to learn it very soon. I built
   this site as a sort of “learn as I go” thing. I get error messages from Chrome
   and Firefox whenever I try to upload anything. I’ve even dragged photos into
   the ftp, but they don’t show up when I try to upload from there. If I have access
   to my admin dashboard, does that mean it’s installed? How will I know? Thnanks!

 * Looks like it’s installed, yes. Try logging in here:
 * [http://www.jeffs60s.com/wp/wordpress/wp-login.php](http://www.jeffs60s.com/wp/wordpress/wp-login.php)
 * If you can’t upload anything in the Dashboard (not FTP), have you checked the
   file permissions on the server?

 * My file permissions are at 755. Should they be 744?

 * Files or folders? Files should be 644. Folders should be 755.

 * The folders are at 755. what files need to be set? Is there a certain file in
   each directory?

 * What I mean, is there a certain single file, ie “congig.php” in each directory,
   or is it all of the files in each directory? They’re mostly all set to 644.

 * A single file for what? All files should be 644.

 * When I set up an online store, a certain file in each directory needed to be
   changed to 644. If I open a directory in wordpress, there are many files. Would
   I have to open each one and change each permission level? there is a config file
   with permission at 666. I would have to open every file in every directory to
   see if if has the right permission? I wanted to do wordpress because it was supposed
   to be easy for the average user.

 * I’m sorry, I was referring to a different db when I mentioned the online store,
   the store has nothing to do with what I’m doing with wordpress. I figured out
   the permissions level, so I’m good there now. Still, nothing works. I can’t make
   any changes to a theme. I’m using theme twenty-seven, and I deleted all the images
   out of the folder because I didn’t want to use them. Next, I replaced them with
   one image-in the same exact folder. Now, nothing works.

 * Ooops, correction: I’m using twenty eleven theme.

 * > I can’t make any changes to a theme.
 * You need to change the permissions on the files in _just_ that theme’s folder
   to to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777.

 * Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme itself. First [create a child theme for your changes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes).
