How to turn page numbering into "read more" drop down without loading a new page

Hello guys,

I am not a programmer, but I’d like to know if there’s any easy way to turn <!–nextpage–> into a drop down of the remaining part of an article without having to load a new page (…/2/). So instead of having PAGES 1.. 2.. 3.. 4, it just says CONTINUE READING or READ MORE and the remaining part of the article drops down without having to load a new page.

P.S I have tried using the READ MORE tag but it is not working this way.
